Hiya,
So, I’m a good ways into the Topps collectibles – Ghostbusters 2 cards, the Ghostbusters Fright Flicks cards, and the Slimer candies, but there are a few things I’m looking for that you might be able to help with;
- Scans of the front of GB2 cards, 7, 8, 12, 15, 19-21, 25, 26, 30, 31, 39, 42, 46, 47, 58-64, 66, 73, 74, 79, 80, 82, 83, and stickers 4 and 6 (front and back.)
Bonus;
- Any advertisements for any of the GB Topps goods.
Thanks all.
The test pages for the Real Ghostbusters magazine will be along shortly. I have to be careful that I think out the book’s interior entirely before I commit to any pages, otherwise I get dozens of pages in and don’t want to make any changes.
QUICK QUESTION (ANSWER IN COMMENTS) – Should collectible lists include check boxes? Would people enjoy using the book a way to keep track of what they have and what they’re still looking for? I mean, people can do that anyhow – anybody can place a pencil mark next to or around a comic listing, but it’s slightly more civilized if there’s a tick box there. Yeah? No? Maybe.

i have all the stickers for GB2 i will scan them plus i have a sealed packet of GB2 cards they look brand new (wouldnt try the gum lol)if you want a scan back and front. i have some the the cards i will look to see what cards i have. how would you want them scanned i.e one at a time or acouple on one page and do i email them to you?
I don’t need the package, thanks, but the stickers are great, and if you have any of the cards, even better.
You can scan them with a few to a page, that’s fine, and yes please, email me via the email link top left.
Thanks!
I think check boxes would be cool because it would show that you intend this Ghostbusters Info/Collectible manual to be put to good use!
i have all the gb2 cards who do i email to
I have the whole set of GB2 cards. Ill just have to find them. send me an email and ill get to it asap. iskelly87@gmail.com
Aj’s got the entire set scanned and on GBFans…Well that is if you don’t mind the watermarks ;P…
As for promo stuff – I have a pictures, but being as though my main computer’s monitor has taken a crap, I can’t really get to them right now…They were low-res anyhow…
Meant “a few pictures” – gah…
Answer: I suppose it all depends if you want people ticking the book. It all depends on the overall layout of the content. If the book serves as mainly a catalog of all things GB, then put the boxes right in there. Yet if it’s balancing descriptions and anecdotes, etc, maybe put a section of JUST the lists in the back to tick or rip out?
Found the main one I was thinking of in my old “Rare Pictures” thread at GB.net:

Chances are that I would count the book as a collectible and resource I want to keep around for a long time. That said, I wouldn’t mark it up. I could always photocopy a page to mark up.
I say if it doesn’t hurt your layout for including as much info as possible on the page and printing costs aren’t prohibitive, go for it. I would want more info or pictures over checkboxes if it came down to a choice.
Could you use tick mark boxes as bulletpoints (If I’m understanding correctly)? It might look like this:
□ Peter
□ Egon
□ Ray
□ Winston
Instaed of this:
·Peter
·Egon
·Ray
·Winston
Er…instead
check your inbox i have sent the scans
First of all – A big YES to the check boxes. Maybe there should be check lists in the back of the book (before the index, etc… Ooh, include a Ghostbusters dictionary reference…) separate from the rest of the compendium – if that’s the way you’re going anyway.
This isn’t TOPPS, but uh… I’ve got an old magazine I bought at a yard sale that discusses the “ground breaking” special effects of Ghostbusters (this was before the movie came out), and asks readers whether or not there should be a new rating system because the first Indiana Jones movie is months from coming out and it’s more violent than movies before it. It also talks about the Search for Spock which hadn’t come out yet. Think that would be anything of interest for everyone online? I’ve been lazy and haven’t gotten around to it.
Oh, and for the Print is Dead book. I meant for that especially. But I don’t know if you have it or need it for the book or not.
I like check boxes
off topic, but pretty cool anyways… i have a ton of pics from the old universal ghostbusters show, billboard, and firehouse, as well as the newer show (with beetlejuice) that are totally yours if you want scans of them…
Yo, Chris! …wassup? Heck, I want those photos and stuff. There were three attractions at least. Do you have anything from the one in which someone playing Louis Tulley gives a tour of the firehouse? I love that commercial for starting up a franchise that they play during the tour.
Thanks Chris – I think it’s a given the book will have to cover the US show, so those pics you have may come in handy.
What have you received so far? I have the whole set here. Did you receive any scans yet?
A Check List Would Rock Also toby rogers Did You Know That The Gum In Old Baseball Cards And Stuff Like That Never Goes Bad??? I Got Some Unopen Ghostbusters 2 Card A While Ago And Of Course Being A Kid At Heart I Got The Urge To Open A Pack And Chew The Gum, And I Did And Turned Around And Went Back To The Card Shop And Bought One Of The 13 Unopen Boxes Of GB2 Cards They Had!!!!
I’ve gotten a bunch of cards from people – I have to go through them to figure out which ones I’m still missing.
OK, I’ve removed the ones sent to me today – Ed, if you have the rest, that would be awesome.
No problem, I’ll do them tonight. Any special size/quality?
I have quite a few GB cards at home. I’ll look through them when I get back and see if they’re any of the ones you’re looking for. I bought a full box of them a few years ago so there’s probably a pretty good chance… and yes, I unfortunately tried the gum, haha.
I’d love to help as I have two full boxes of topps cards in their original display box, but they’re all still in their wrappers as wel. Sorry man.
Every single card is on GBFans: http://www.gbfans.com/ghostbusters-2/trading-cards/
I don’t remember if they were Topps but in the England they had chewing gum with Ghostbusters 2 stickers. They were pink bazooka size chewing gum and each one had a Ghostbusters 2 sticker wrapped around it.
I had loads of them.

Thanks AJ, but I can’t run them with the watermark, and I wasn’t going to take them off the site and take the watermark off, that’s not fair.
I think I have them all now – thanks guys.
Matthew, that’s a great list – I don’t remember the gum, but I remember Chix candy sticks, which had cards.
Trio bars came with RGB comics for a while in the UK
