Sitting down for an interview with IESB (I have no idea what it stands for and their site isn’t making it easy to find out), Ernie Hudson talks about acting, his career and both a third Ghostbusters and working on the video game.
So, I’m hoping the movie happens, but I have not heard from Ivan Reitman or the studio, or anybody who signs checks. Until that happens, it’s still just speculation.
Thanks to Ecto Freak for the heads up.

I always love hearing from Ernie Hudson about these things. He obviously has love for the franchise, but laid back enough to let us never forget it’s all about the paycheck for him lol.
“But, it really needs to be something that makes sense. I don’t want to just do a cameo. If we’re going to do it, I want to be involved.”
Here is a great quote from the interview. I hope Murray feels the same way. There is no reason to do a third movie in a franchise about different characters. This is the final film, they should be the ones closing the franchise.
indeed.
Inland Empire Strikes Back.
Prologic9 is right, big Star Wars fans over there.
if there’s a steady paycheck in it, he’ll believe anything Ivan says…
Funny how he gives Ramis a lot of the credit for the current status of the third film – which I guess is true, since it was through his connections that a script was actually completed, but I always think of Aykroyd as being the number one advocate for the continuation of the series.
It will happen…
Its good to hear he doesnt agree with just doing remakes to make money when he talks about The Crow (another great original, but tragically the greatest part of the first one Brandon Lee died during filming),and you can tell he appreciates Ghostbusters for everything its given him and wants to return that to the fans and like Murray said do something exceptional. But of course, ya cant blame him for saying if its bad and I did it understand I got paid a lot of money…because being from a modest midwest town myself if I could make a ton of cash quick to support family Id do it too…just as long as it didnt ruin Ghostbusters.

seems like Reitman will be attached as director. Also is hinted that GB3 will start in a GB2-ish way.
That’s a link pointing to another link, where they say they’ve found out, 100%, for sure, but don’t say where they found out, which means it’s useless information. If they’d said “A hollywood insider said…” then we could say, “Well, here’s the information, attributed to an insider, so take that as you will…” But when they don’t say anything, they might as well have pulled it out of their ear – not to say they did, but functionally, it means the same thing.
We already have a link – http://protoncharging.com/gb/2009/09/19/ivan-reitman-has-the-new-gb3-script-says-many-encouraging-things/ – wherein Reitman himself directly says he’s strongly thinking about directing, so the BloodyDisgusting can only act as a vague confirmation of what we already know.
oooooops, sorry! my fault!
if i’ll find another link how can i send it to you (so you’ll can decide if publish it or not?)i didn’t find a way to do it
ps: sorry for my bad english.
