On January 1st, 2010 the U.K. Ghostbusters will march two miles through London to help raise money for The David Statton Sick Children’s fund, which benefits the Arbour Vale Specialist Sports College.

Walking from Parliament Square will be team members Carl Hopcroft, Mark Lloyd, Ben King, Joey Green and many more, as well as the Statue of Liberty and the Stay Puft Marshamallow man!

However, the U.K. Ghostbusters have saved the best for last… riding alongside them will be Great Britain’s very own replica of Ecto-1!

The parade will be broadcast live on BBC News and Sky News, CNN, CBS and Fox News between 12:00 Noon GMT, and 3:00 PM GMT, so set those digital recorders if it’s the middle of the night for you!

The David Statton Sick Children Fund was established to help David Statton, who was afflicted with Spina Bifida, Hydrocephalus and Chronic Renal Failure.

Sadly, David died on June 14th, 1997, but the fund lives on through the work of his family, and the Arbour Vale Specialist Sports College which the fund now benefits. The money raised will help to provide learning equipment and facilities for the special needs of the students of the college.

If you’d like to donate – and even a few bucks can be a big help - please visit their website.
