There’s been a lot of shuffling in Mattel’s 2010 schedule, as a delay in the Walter Peck figure seems to have caused a few ripples – but yesterday, Mattel clarified their previous clarification of dates.

Oddly, the previously mentioned July release for 12″ Winston, isn’t mentioned – not sure if that means Winston is sliding now as well.

Well Mattel does state that this schedule only goes to June, so 12″ Winston may very well still be on schedule for July, but they just didn’t want to go that far and post releases for then.
WTH… Peck was supposed to be in May, now they’re moving him up again?
Don’t get me wrong I’m glad we’re getting a figure earlier. But they need to stop messing with the release schedule.
Nice! I noticed that everything is unavalible on the matty site. Why wouldn’t they just let them sell out?!… Besides the point tho. I can’t wait to get my hands on these new figs!
I didn’t know Venkman was gonna come w/ Slimer (Egon had one, too, so…?). I hope the Slimer is a bit more articulated this time around. He looked kinda stumped for some reason when he came w/ Egon…the face and color looked OK, but…idk…just looked like a ball of green for the most part…he was a lot more rectangular in the movie(s)…

I’m not sure I believe that the Peck figure got pushed back up to the original date. Perhaps they have their info mixed up.
I just checked the schedule again, and it seems Mattel either can’t make up their minds, or there’s still production problems, or the website folks just made an error. Here’s the information as it stands now:
March 2010 — No GB Releases
April 2010 — Ghostbusters™ 12″ Peter Venkman™
May 2010 — Ghostbusters™ 6″ Walter Peck™ (with containment unit)
June 2010 — Ghostbusters™ 6″ Peter Venkman™ with Slimer
I’d recommend people continue to check the news section of MattyCollector.com often to see if this continues to change.
Well, spacing them out at about one a month should be a little easier on the wallet. But then again, I’d like to complete the set of all four busters in jumpsuits in both the 6″ and 12″ scale ASAP.
