[...] I’ve talked to James on and off, but for awhile now I’ve wanted to pick his brain as a fellow Ghostbusters fan. For those of you unfamiliar with the man, he is the brain behind CerealGeek magazine, which has commented on, featured, and dissected The Real Ghostbusters pretty much constantly over five issues. As well, he contributed to The Real Ghostbusters DVD set from Time-Life and has joined forces with Dan Schoening to work on an as yet unannounced Ghostbusters comic for IDW! [...]

I finally read over the whole pitch, Not interesting. Character designs for Ray and Peter look way to alike. Winston looks nothing like the movie at all. The whole 5 months after the first movie thing.... been done. The only thing I did enjoy reading was in "Our Vision" section on "No More Big Twinkies". I'm sick of reading about Gozer's family, Stay Puft coming back *again*, and lets hang out at the Sedgewick Hotel and bust another 50 ghosts (Damn burn down the place already, its cursed). So I do enjoy parts of it. But the art direction is terrible.

The people at IDW handling GBs are businessmen first, fans in second. I was the other way around, look where it got me.

I wish I had not screwed up so bad with other licences so that I could still work on GB and make it something 30 years old could enjoy. Now we got comics for 10 years old.

Agreed with Clavet, I only got the "The Other Side" comics, though not that bad, weren´t the comics I wanted to read (88mph comics were superior in all ways!). I didn´t bought the latest issues... and I´d like to buy them, but knowing about this Dan+IDW project, I rather wait.

I'm a GB fan and I haven't bought any issues. The art and writing is just overall bad.
