Inspired by The Big Lebowski D&D alignment chart, I had to take a shot at a Ghostbusters version, if only as a tool to better understand the characters; I certainly have always taken their characters for granted – good v. bad – but having to work within the boundaries of the alignment guide turned out to be a good brain exercise.
A lot of characters didn’t make it in, either because they didn’t fit well (What’s Janosz when he’s not possessed? Is Slimer more animal than sentient, and thus a true neutral?) or I couldn’t include everyone; Dana and Janine could be on there – where would YOU put them? (D&D alignments explained.)

I see a typo!
Awesome! It’s now my desktop background. Urge to game…
For Dana, Janine, and Janosz
Dana: Professionally Good (she likes her job and works hard)
Janine: Professionally Neutral (does the work but with an attitude)
Janosz: Professionally Evil (couldn’t escape the evil tendencies at work)
relax, i ound the car! :-p
What alignment would the Rookie be?
hmm yeah I just noticed the missing F too
I love when you do these chart things and post them. You did one a few years ago about survival possibilities for crossing the streams that was equally as great. Thanks.
Thanks, Bryan. I love doing them!
I’ve fixed the typo, my little Chaotic Neutral editors…
I don’t get it. Could you explain it to all of us who don’t play/follow D&D?
Alignment is a simple tool to help players act according to the character of their, well, character. It also helps the game master steer players if they don’t act according to their character. Works similar to Goals in the GB RPG system.
