This past week, regional contestants in Austin took to the stage to compete for the right to go to New York, where they will vie for the chance to represent the United States in the World Finals. Yes, there is a world air guitar championships, and yes, Austin doesn’t have a lot going on right after SXSW apparently.
Basically, 15 competitors took to the stage to the song of their choice – 6 were then chosen to duke it out to the same song, in this case, Ghostbusters (can anyone ID the version?) Pastor Moses O’Dell was the final winner.

Yeah there pretty good. I love that version of ghostbusters. When you look at the album listing it is titled bhosgusters Probly for copywrite reasons.
Makes me laugh that everyone,or anyone who has ever played air guitar through out history have ignored the fact that their instruments weren’t ever plumbed in to an amp. The dorks!

And here some folks think that people who play Guitar Hero (and its ilk) look silly. These air guitarists look even sillier.
