In the previous months there have been words from James “Angry Video Game Nerd” Rolf that he was working on a video, Ghostbusters tour of New York. Well, at long last, that video is done, and now up at Cinemassacre.com.
Thanks to Nate for the reminder.
In a similar vein, if you haven’t checked them out before, are the Ghostbustours series for mobile users, and PC’s Shot On Site feature series.

awesome stuff. makes me want to go visit new york right now.
Don’t you cross them power thing thingys. They’ll get ya.
They really do hit the nail on the head in regards to the firehouse. It’s just…mind numbing to see such an iconic building in person.
Empire State building was nice, Hook & Ladder was nicer.
Wonderful video! I took a tour a few years ago but only saw about half of the locations here. Great job!!!
Damn good video!
Nice! I had lunch at Tavern on the Green on their last day of business.
I am going to New York in October, with who will then be my wife, for our honeymoon. We are staying a week there and I’ve already been promised an entire day of just going to pretty much all the places in the video. The firehouse is my Graceland. lol. I wonder if they still sell the patches there like they did after 9/11?
Big thanks to the creators of that video! When I visit NY (unplanned right now, but someday), the firehouse and library were two MUST stops for me. If I couldn’t go there, the trip would be a bust for me.
I’m going to visit NY in June for a few days and obviously the number one thing on my list is the firehouse. That video is awesome and it definitely helped me figure out how I’m going to tour NYC. Thanks!!!
I took my own tour in 2007. It was great to see all of these locations. Everything’s was so easy to find.
That video was absolutely brilliant and well-done. Very well written with a lot of hilarious touches of their own. Worth the wait. One of these days, I shall make the pilgrimage up to NYC and visit these places.
Great job, guys! I thoroughly enjoyed the video.
Now I really have to find the time next week to start the things I planned on doing about two months ago: a revamp of my Filming Locations page and start a series of Shot On Site articles (I already have Chris’ permission to use the title) which take a look at some new locations I’ve uncovered. The first one will be a random GB2 locale I stumbled upon that no one’s covered yet (as far as I know), the second one is the Greystone Mansion (after years of mystery I finally figured out where in the movies it is), and the third one will be about Fort Detmerring.
If you managed to find this comment, you just got a little teaser as to what updates are planned for Spook Central in the near future. Now go have a cookie.
