The San Diego Comic Con website has listed all the exclusives that exhibitors will be making available at the show, later this month, and Mattel, in addition to its Retro-Action Peter Venkman (and his haunted uniform doppelganger version), Mattel has listed an exclusive Ecto-1 Hot Wheels car – the car comes with a lot more paint detail than the retail version (especially on the roof rack equipment) and comes in its own display case, and more. Cost? $20!
The Hot Wheels version of the Ghostbusters Ecto-1 has been one of the most hotly sought after castings in the 2010 main line at retail. As a result, Hot Wheels decided to create the most detailed 1:64 version of the Ecto-1 to date and sell it at SDCC. Featuring a die-cast body, die-cast chassis, Real Rider tires, and a box that looks like Ghostbusters ghost trap, it’ll be sure to sell out fast. While supplies last.
No number on how many they will be making available has been made, nor if they will only be made available on a particular day.
Similarly the Retro-Action figures are listed at $20, but without details on when they will be made available or what numbers they are limited to.

Mother of God!
Wow..nearly had a heart attack for a second there when I thought this might have been a full sized Ecto-1 to go with the figures LOL
This SDCC exclusive stuff is really starting to break my heart. All these awesome GB things that I’ll never get a chance to own, unless I want to pay a 500% mark-up on eBay, of course…
At the bottom of the page, it shows that another one of Mattel’s exclusives is this:
Although the picture shows an actual clear plastic jet in the bubble, I would have laughed if it were actually an empty bubble. After all, is IS an “invisible” jet
Is this going to be available online as well, as the SDCC exclusive Egon figure was? I can only hope…
The Hallmark Christmas ornament that came out in 2009 is bigger, more detailed, plays part of the Ray Parker, Jr. theme song. They were retailing around $20 dollars if I remember. I got one for Christmas. I need to find a plastic case for it.
