This may have little to no impact, as early buyers head home to play through the single player campaign, but a week back Microsoft announced system maintenance on Xbox Live, starting tonight at midnight. I didn’t want to post it early and have it fall off the front page.
So, don’t expect Multiplayer to work on your Xbox copy until tomorrow morning, with luck. I’ll update when it’s back up for sure.
According to Xbox, the update COULD last as long as 24 hours, meaning a possible lack on online Ghostbusting fun until Wednesday. Bummer.
I prefer the glass half full interpretation – that it could be back up well under 24 hours.
Well, I look at it this way. That’s a full day to beat the single player campaign, collect all the cursed artifacts, and try to get all the achievements before Xbox Live comes back online.
I was super bummed to hear about this, I was like “why the 16th? ive never heard of live being down like this before, it must not want me to play ghostbusters” on the up side it gives me time to get the hang of the controls, instead of having LIVE buddies yelling at me for not knowing what im doing lol
I was enjoying multiplayer well into 1 am.
3:00 am, still got to enjoy my ghostbusters inspired halo 3 map. good times.

I went to Game Stop at midnight expecting a midnight release. It was closed. FAIL. I bought a copy at Wal-Mart and tomorrow, I’ll go to Game Stop and demand a refund for my pre order and give them a HUGE chunk of my mind. Then I get home and Xbox Live is down, too. I bet if I sat in that blood pressure chair at Wal-Mart right now, it’d explode. I think I’ve been playing for six hours straight.

Before xbox live went down last night I could not get my gamestop flight suit downloaded. did anybody get it? I hate that I have to wait for xbox live to come back up. How long are they going to take?
