Well, I screwed that one up.
For awhile now I’d been aware of Paul Gannon’s Geek Night Out, and in particular an upcoming, Ghostbusters-themed show. Not wanting the news to get lost in the torrent of Ghostbusters news this month, I held off… and held off… and held off on posting it, until finally the big week was here.
And I didn’t remember to post it.
I hope those of you in the UK that follow Geek Night Out at its website, heard about it on facebook, or heard about it via Anthony Bueno, got a chance to go check out a funny night of Ghostbusters-tinged comedy. And if you didn’t, well, there will be more and you should go, so I don’t feel like a complete crumb. And for those of you with time-machines, I know the energy requirements are high, but c’mon… Ghostbusters comedy. And it was just last night. You can barely call it time-travel.
I will endeavor to mitigate my cock-up by keeping an eye on the Geek Night Out podcast, where hopefully they will be posting some clips from the show in the coming weeks.
Again, my apologies to Paul, who put a lot of work into a great night of comedy.

all i can say is eyebrow waxing is a must in some cases
also, what is a “cock-up”? Is it an exercise you do to make your manhood grow larger?
“Cock up” is (English?) slang for like, Mix up, Error, mistake, ect.
No… the first dude was right lol
Foreshame! No matter though, it was a magnificent night with a large crowd and a wealth of GB facts and fancies.
Most of the show was recorded (was meant to be a 1 hour set – ended about 1.45mins later!!) and i will throw you a clip to host on protoncharging sometime in the next few months.
Due to the fantastic feedback i’ve had from the audience, i’m planning on making it into a full proper 1 hour show and take it to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2010…
So stay tuned as to how the show develops.
I am not the unibrow’d guy – i’m the dork with the Ecto 1 in my hands, should you wish to point and laugh at me in the street.
I went to this and met Anthony Bueno. Rather nice chap.
Since you’re using Wordpress, I’d recommend next time scheduling the post. I’ve been in the same boat many times, and doing a scheduled posting has saved me a ton of grief.
That’s a great idea, except that the other piece of the puzzle is actually finding the time to put a post together during a time I’m already posting several times a day. If my plate hadn’t already been full to over flowing, I’d have used the auto-posting system.
@kind311: “All need to do is one. That’s all you need.” Glad to see another Tenacious D fan.
i agree with kind on the eyebrow wax comment, lil manscaping is a most for this dude! Unibrows went out with star trek! 70′S!
I leave the manscaping to Paul Gannon, who is suppossed to be the pretty one. Much like Samon, my unibrow is the source of all my power.
Vids of the night will soon be available at http://www.geeknightout.net.
I will not be appearing in it, so metrosexuals can all relax.
@Rob Deb: Don’t worry – they fear that which they cannot understand.
