Well, it wasn’t a long tease campaign, as Media Molecule has posted a new poster, showing off Ghostbuster jumpsuit costumes for Sackboy, and Sony Japan has revealed even more than that.

-Stay Puft costume
-Jumpsuits (suits with traps)
-Slimer headpiece
-No-Ghost costume
Reports conflict as to whether there are stickers as well.
Japan will be getting the kits next week, July 16th, with many hoping Europe and North America to follow at around the same time, though there has been no official word yet.

I am soooooooo definitively picking up the Winston and Star Puft Costume
ok…. yup….. gonna buy it all
Whatever floats your boat. Why spend real money on virtual items?
to make those virtual items even better. but i don’t have a ps3 so i don’t have a choice.
It’s not clear if there is a different outfit for each of the four busters – it looks like one costume, and then you add stock hair and glasses to me.
The Japanese store is selling them at, equivalent, 2 bucks apiece and 6 for all of them. That makes sense if it’s four costumes (Stay-puft, Slimer, No-ghost, and jumpsuit) and make no sense if there are four jumpsuits. Unless I read otherwise, I’m assuming there is only the one jumpsuit.
Hudemx you spelled stay pufts name wrong its stay puft.
Ugh.
Great, Ghostbusters DLC for a game other the Ghostbusters. Awesome.
I’m most certainly getting this on day one- my girlfriend and I love LBP.
“Whatever floats your boat. Why spend real money on virtual items?”
Good point. I still don’t fully understand that concept myself.
I’m mad excited about this!!!!!
Only two things about this annoy me….winston has a stereotypically black afro and the streams are coming out of the trap. Let’s hope thats only in the poster and not the actual content
“Why spend real money on virtual items?””
Why spend real money on gold in WoW?
Why spend real money on Rockband DLC?
Why spend real money on buying parts to build a replica proton pack?
There all the same.
One word: Entertainment.
People buy virtual items to extent the life of the games they’ve purchased.
I paid $60 for LBP on day one and haven’t regretted it once. I don’t jump at every piece of content that hits the PSN, but when something this cool (and cheap) comes, why not? It’ll only further my enjoyment.
Damnit, I wrote “extent” instead of “extend.”
How is buying DLC any different than buying a videogame? They’re both digital content, it’s just that DLC isn’t on a disc that you can physically hold. Plus people by music files on iTunes all the time. No difference.
If you’re going to ask why people would spend money on virtual items then you may as well ask why we should spend money on anything at all considering we’re all going to die in the end.
I don’t get it.
ShodanMark. They spend money on virtual items because .. People like getting nothing for something. They like accumulating assets that do not exist. The good thing about it is. If you want to make a lot of money, you don’t need a warehouse full of inventory, just a computer. You could sell them a Pool that doesn’t exist for hundreds, or bicycles that don’t exist for $5.00 each, AND THEY’LL BUY IT. HAHAHAHAahaha… HAHahaa You could charge them for everything that in their mind they would need to lead this life that doesn’t exist. That’s the truth. And I think there’s huge demand, …for imaginary assets, ..for nothing(s). Part of the problem is that people can’t afford to lead real lives.
So these opportunists sell them for a fraction of the price, ..fakes.
Hey,
I’m from the UK and got a 360 just to get a copy of the ghostbusters game imported. I also bought a “Gamestop ingame Ghostbuters 2 flight suit” code. Only I just found out, to my dismay, that there are restrictions reguarding regions with DLC – I’m gutted but now it looks like I have to sell my ingame suit on. Would there be any takers?
