Ghoul tidings: A Ghostbusters Gift Guide

Last minute gift shopping can be tricky but, this Ghostbuster shopping guide should be able to help you out.

Here is a small of list of items out there that you may add to the holiday shopping (or Santa) list.

The Real Ghostbusters animated series. One of the best animated series of the 1980s (if not all time) is now available and helps bring you back to your childhood. I guess it’s time to dust off those old Kenner toys.

Proton Pack, the backpack. Who knew a thrower could hold a cell phone and pens? This nifty item is $39.99 on Amazon and is hard to find in stores.

Slimer Sours. Why not add some retro looking candy to that stalking?

Ghostbusters Slime Pants: Open presents in style.

No Ghost Pint Glass. Don’t you wish you could drink ecto-cooler in this?

Trap with logo skinny tie. Be dressy and nerdy at the same time.

Ghostbuster key caps (in-store only). Cover that Cadillac key!

“3D” Stay Puft belt buckle (in-store only).

Stay Puft pillow buddy (in-store only).

Thanks to Joseph Mays for the pics!

Gift the movies for electronic download right on their iPad, iPhone or computer.

Diamond Select Toys & Collectibles

Stay Puft Bank. Pretty much the coolest bank I’ve ever seen.

Minimates. LEGO, watch your back.

Toys R Us

The Real Ghostbusters retro-action figures.

Movie poster. Add some slime to that empty wall. You can even have it shipped framed.

Baby blue logo shirt. Just like the one people wave at the end of the first film.

Inflatable Stay Puft lawn decoration. Because it’s just damn cool.

You can’t go wrong with anything made by MattyCollector. From realistic action figures to movie replica PKE Meters and traps, Matty makes some really good stuff. Check out their store for many cool toys.

To be fair, there are a lot more items out there. These just happen to be some of my favorites. Feel free to share yours in the comments section below.

Happy Shopping.

Surprise. Sanctum of Slime releasing Challenge Pack tomorrow for Xbox & PC.

That’s right – flying in under the radar of next week’s impending E3 tradeshow, Atari has announced that tomorrow, June 1st, they’re releasing a Challenge Pack for Sanctum of Slime, which adds two new gameplay modes – Lone Hero and Arcade Action. The one let’s you play by yourself, without any back-up. And the other… it’s unclear what arcade action means.

All in all, if you liked the game, you’ll probably like the little variety the pack gives you. And if you didn’t, this is unlikely to lure you in.

Sanctum of Slime launch trailer. Win Xbox copy on Twitter, by follow or retweet!

Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime is out today on all three platforms, at least in North America and Atari has released their launch day trailer.

It’s been a long time since we had a Proton Charging booster contest – if you’re a current follower on twitter, simply retweet this for a chance to win. If you’re not a current follower, why not become one and get a chance to win? I’ll hand out the code midday tomorrow! Go forth and tweet!

Sanctum of Slime release day – Xbox Avatar swag!

It’s release day for Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime (at least in North America, and even then only PS3 and PC), and people are starting to have fun – but don’t fret Xbox owners. The Avatar store has already been updated to include some sweet Ghostbusters swag!

GB Trucker hat – 80 MSP
Stay-Puft pet – 320 MSP
Slimer pet – 320 MSP

Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime almost here! 6 new screens!

We are one week away from the release of Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime on Xbox Live, PSN, and PC digital download (price $10) and Atari has dropped 6 new screens on us. Lots of the good fighting we’ve come to expect, but of note are a Slime Golem (like it), the ECTO-4WD dropping into the sewers (nice), and a Stay-Puft power-up! Does he give you health? Does he give you more powerful weapons? Is he just delicious?! The notes with the screengrabs suggest it’s a co-op game mode, but what “finding Stay-Puft” entails, exactly, is a mystery.

We’ll have to wait until next Wednesday to find out!
