Ghostbusters uniform live on Playstation Home US

Dave has some good news for anyone who was waiting for Sony to release the next Ghostbusters goodie on PSN;

Just wanted to pass along the news that PSHome in the U.S. has the GB uniform live and available for purchase.

In the store “Threads” you can find the full GB uniform for 1.99.

You can either purchase everything together for 1.99 (Uniform top, uniform bottom, boots, gloves & ecto goggles)

or if for some reason you only want part of the uniform you can purchase each component separately. (it’s cheaper to buy the whole set together for 1.99)

Uniform top: 99 cents
Uniform bottom: 99 cents
boots: I believe they were 50 cents
Gloves: 25 cents
Ecto goggles: 99 cents

(I believe those prices for individual items are correct, but they may not be accurate as i’m doing it from memory. After i purchased the whole set it doesn’t let me view the prices for the items anymore. It simply reads “error” where the price used to be.)

So far that looks like all that is live now. The GB firehouse space doesn’t seem to be up for sale yet, and the free shirts they mentioned in the video are not live either. It’s just the GB uniform for now.

Confirmed: More Ghostbusters assets for PS Home throughout June

LootGear has posted another video of their Playstation Home Ghostbusters goodies, this time showing the 11 items released today, as well as giving us a look at all the big goodies to come (like the jumpsuits, Ecto-1, and firehall.) These items, plus additional shirts, are due
for release “throughout June”. Stay tuned.

Of important note – the Ghostbusters items currently out are only available for a limited time, according to the video, so if you think you might want them later, even if you don’t want them now, you might want to toss in that two bucks.

[UPDATE] Sony just sent me more details on the assets – One we didn’t know about? A Stay-Puft costume head! It sounds a lot like the additional assets will be released the same week as the Blu-ray and video game. And we have more pricing, with individual items being as low as 49 cents and all the way up to $4.99. It definitely sounds like fans won’t have to buy a full cost set, just to get one or two items, if that’s their preference.

CULVER CITY, CA – May 28, 2009 – The cult-classic sci-fi movie Ghostbusters is coming to PlayStation®Home, thanks to “Loot,” a group of innovative developers dedicated to creating branded interactive entertainment products and experiences for Sony Computer Entertainment America’s PlayStation Home, and Sony Pictures Consumer Products. Loot (http://www.twitter.com/lootgear) will provide PlayStation Home with an array of interactive Ghostbusters-branded items – such as figurines, t-shirts, costumes and more – in conjunction with the worldwide release of Ghostbusters on Blu-ray the week of June 16, 2009 from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment and the simultaneous launch of “Ghostbusters: The Video Game,” the highly anticipated videogame from Atari, celebrating the film’s 25th anniversary.

“Ghostbusters is one of our most popular franchises and, thematically, it was a natural fit for the social gaming world of PlayStation Home,” said David Sterling, VP of Business Development for Sony Pictures Digital Authoring Center and General Manager of Loot. “We’ve created an experience where fans can virtually participate in the movie environment.”

Starting today, Ghostbusters figurines – including mini-Stay Puft Marshmallow man, Slimer ghost, Ecto-1 car and ghost trap – go on sale individually or as a Fan Pack, followed by Ghostbusters regular and logo T-shirts and Ghostbusters Proton- Pack Costumes in the coming weeks. Among the products to be released is the Ghostbusters Firehouse On-Location, which is a replica of the three-story firehouse from the movie featuring a fireman’s pole, a full-size Ecto-1 car, a flying Slimer ghost and exclusive furniture as well interactive stage set cameras. With the purchase of the Firehouse, users get a bonus Stay Puft Marshmallow man costume head.

All of the Ghostbusters-branded interactive items, created by Loot and offered in conjunction with Sony Pictures Consumer Products, and selected by Sony Computer Entertainment America will be available for purchase in the coming weeks from the PlayStation Home Mall. Prices range from US$.49 to US$4.99.

Playstation Home Ghostbusters fan kit out – more GB still to come

Sony released its Ghostbusters fan kit for Playstation Home today. For those who were grumbling about having to pay for any Ghostbusters content, the fan kit costs a whopping $1.99. See if you can take out a loan. The kit includes;

This fan kit includes:

For Avatar:
Stay Puft T-shirt
Slimer T-Shirt
Ecto-1 T-shirt

For personal space:
Ecto-1 Toy
Stay Puft Figure
Slimer Figure
PKE meter on display stand
Ghost trap prop

All of the personal space items are for display purposes only, and the PKE meter is the only object that has working lights. There are flashing lights on the screen and the lights on the wings flash as well.

The kit is currently only available to US Home accounts. No word on release date or price on the full Ghostbusters kit coming out with the movie maker, previously reported, which was originally assumed to be part of today’s release.

Thanks to Dave for the heads up and excellent report.

[UPDATE] I did some digging, and it sounds like The Living Room Stage Set, with all the interactive movie-making tools, is already out – it’s $4.99 and can be bought at the Estates store in PlayStation Home Mall. I can’t confirm this though, as I’m not a PS3 owner. If it is out, and then the bigger Ghostbusters assets kit isn’t included with it, then that’s the only piece that’s left to be released (or possibly released in a series of kits – so many things aren’t clear.) Stay Tuned.
