Alex at TheRealGhostbusters.com has caught wind of a fan that has go ahead and designed a full set of Real Ghostbusters Mighty Muggs – wishful thinking perhaps, or maybe an awesome idea?

RGB DVD box art choosen! Firehall!

After letting fans vote on their favorite box for the Real Ghostbusters DVD set, the winner is in – by the sounds of it, it wasn’t much of a contest, as the big favorite was the firehall, according to TVShowsOnDVD.com. Now we just have to patiently wait to see the final, non-mock-up art!
Don’t forget, September 1st is the deadline to pre-order your copy of the set and take advantage of Time-Life’s 10% deal.
RGB DVD confirmed!
Well, it’s official now – Time-Life will be producing a RGB DVD set with the intent of selling it this fall. Originally thought to be 26 discs, the set may now be 27 or 28 discs. The set will be produced by Andy Mangels (a giant cartoon fanatic, more than capable of making this the awesome), who will be talking at Comic Con in a couple of weeks – no doubt we’ll hear more about the set there. For the full article from the source that broke the news, head on over to TVShowsOnDVD.com! Thanks to everyone else that forwarded me their email newsletter from same – Gord beat you by barely that much.
[UPDATE] It appears that in addition to the Time-Life set, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will be producing a 2-disc set of the first season for sale in Germany – this is according to this German video site. The set is targeted for an October 23rd release – no word yet on other seasons yet. Danke to René for the heads up.
Und hallo zu allen jenen deutsches Ghostheads übersee! Traurig für irgendeine schlechte Grammatik. Ich erhielt einen Roboter, um dieses für mich zu übersetzen.
Real Ghostbusters arcade, playthrough vid on YouTube
If you never saw The Real Ghostbusters arcade game in action, you’re in luck. While a rarity in actual arcades these days, someone took the time to record the entire game and post it on YouTube. The gameplay take nearly 40 minutes total, so the video is in four parts – also, it’s not a recording off and Arcade box, but of MAME, the arcade emulator (which might explain why the graphics don’t look as awesome as I remember – either that or old age.) Thanks Matt!
